On December 1st, the closing session 2012 of the Chilean Society of Transplant "Ethics in Transplant" was carried out in the Faculty of medicine of the University of Valparaiso- Chile.
The event counted with the participation of the Latin American and Caribbean Society of Transplant ( STALYC).
The closing session is the activity that the Chilean Society of Transplant carries out every year for all its members and professionals of the organ donation and transplant areas.
This session was coordinated by Dr. Angela Delucchi, President of de Chilean Society of Transplant and Dr. Jose Toro, Extension Coordinator of the STALYC. The Principal of the University of Valparaiso, Mr. Aldo Valle was present In the opening ceremony.
The first part of the event was preceded by the members of the directory of the STALYC. Dr. Ashley Baquero began the conference with "Transplant in China: a crime against humanity" where he mentioned the reality of organ extraction in prisoners that has taken place in China.

Following Dr. Baquero 's conference, Dr. Eduardo Tanús, President of the Ethics Committee of the STALYC, gave a detailed analysis on the "Basis for Ethic Development" .
Dr. Roberto Tanùs President of the STALYC continued with the program with "Organ Trade in Latin America".
Subsequently, Dr. Josefina Alberú presented a matter in "Generic immunosuppressant: International Recommendations and observations for Latin America".
To end the first part of the session a discussion table was organized, where Dr. Emilio Roessler was in charge, President of the Ethics Committee of the Chilean Society of Transplant.
